New York State Bar Association Releases the Professional Services Guide

The New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) recently launched the Professional Services Guide.  This Guide is intended as a resource for NYSBA members, to help them find products and services that make better law firms.

Daniel Pink Sets New Record for ASTD Webcast Attendance

Alexandria, VA, March 20, 2013– 
On Thursday, March 14th, best-selling author Daniel Pink and the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) delivered the largest webcast in ASTD history. 

Hosted on the Webvent for Webinars platform with full webinar professional service, Dan Pink signed up over 2,500 people with just under 1,000 attendees joining the live event; both numbers set new ASTD webcast records. In the webcast Daniel Pink explained why we're all in sales now -- no matter what our job title is or what our business card says. The presentation was recorded and is available here at no charge.

After the webcast, Dan Pink commented, "Webvent was a joy to work with on our ASTD webinar. American Industrial Hygiene Association presents 2013 Synergist Webinar Series

AIHA – the American Industrial Hygiene Association presents the 2013 Synergist Webinar series – these are free, hour-long presentations on topics of importance to industrial hygiene and occupational health and safety professionals. 

The first webinar is scheduled on April 17 at 2PM ET:  What Every EH&S Manager Needs to Know About ... Fire Code Compliance What Every EH&S Manager Needs to Know About ... Fire Code Compliance, presented by Jeff Tarter,  Principal at Integrated Engineering Services and Bryan Billings,  Inventory Management Consultant at ChemSW.  More webinars will be announced shortly.

Webvent Platform Grows with Increasing Customer Base

Boston, MA, January 24, 2013 –

Our development team has been improving the Webvent's platform with feedback from our recent customers. The following new features just went live:

  1. You can choose from 3 types of 'Directory Listings'

  • Company Profile List.  This is the traditional way of displaying featured companies with premium profiles on top and basic profiles underneath in alphabetical order.
  • Categories with 3 top Company Profiles.  Per category, 3 company profiles rotate in the top 3 positions in that category.
  • Categories by Group.  In this appearance the categories are grouped together and the company profiles are listed when you select a category in a specific group.
  • With these different types of listings we can adapt more flexibly to different customer needs in terms of number of company profiles listed and sponsorship opportunities created.






    2. We added a ‘Community Manager’ Role
    In addition to the ‘Owner’ and the ‘Admin’ roles in any community we added the ‘Community Manager’ role.  Anyone with that role has access to all company profiles listed in the buyers guide, which adds tremendous flexibility in maintaining the content, and a central ‘go-to’ person in that community.

    3. We made Improvements to the 'Manage Webcasts' process
    These consist of:
  • UI improvements – more icons, better instructions
  • Host & Registration process improvements. It is clearer now when a webcast is hosted using a third party web conferencing tool, or when using Webvent hosted services.
  • Presenter Checklist – presenters can upload their documents and accept your Terms and Conditions on their own.
  • Manage Teamwork improvements.  Teamwork between multiple organizations – the Association, the Media Sales Organization, the Presenter, and the Webcast Hosting Organization- is now more efficient.

  • 4. Communities can offer 'Category' level sponsorships
    In addition to the existing Webinar and Community sponsorships, customers can now offer “Category”- level sponsorships for more specific targeting by suppliers and advertisers.












    5. We also made several small adjustments that our dedicated users will notice
  • Products Showcase now lists upgraded companies’ products first
  • Product title links to the company profile page
  • Customers can add their own Google Analytics profile account ID to track their community web traffic
  • Company Profiles include their external Web Site URL under their “Information” module
  • Our corporate web site has been upgraded at www.webvent.tv with new Home, Products, and Customers pages

    NeuroLeadership Institute and ASTD deliver the first ever Brain-Based Learning Virtual Summit

    Alexandria, VA, December 6, 2012– 

    On Tuesday, December 4th, The NeuroLeadership Institute and American Society for Training & Development delivered the first-ever Brain-Based Learning Virtual Summit - a full day virtual conference with five presentations from leading academic experts in brain-based learning, developed especially for corporate learning and development practitioners.

    ASTD’s Juana Llorens, Community of Practice Manager L&D, moderated the presentations and stated, “The Brain-Based Learning Virtual Summit exceeded my wildest stretch goals – for attendance, participation, content, and performance of everyone involved in making this inaugural event a huge success. THANK YOU to all who attended and worked on the virtual summit – and look for more events like these from ASTD in the future!”

    ASTD Webcasts Reach Nearly 50,000 Registrants Annually

    ASTD (American Society for Training & Development) is the world's largest association dedicated to workplace learning and development professionals.
