American Academy of Audiology Builds Online Traffic and Supplier Connection with Online Resource Guide.
Since it’s launch in January 2013, the American Academy of Audiology’s Audiology Solutions Network (ASN) has provided an innovative way for members to search, find, and select suppliers they have an interest in learning more about. What began as a resource to provide audiologists with a searchable supplier guide, has grown into a dynamic way for the Academy’s audience to get involved in the buying process with the products and services they need for their practice.
For marketers, the ASN provides a unique way to post the resources customers need when researching their purchase options. Each advertiser has the ability to post product or service pictures, links, social media channels, video, staff information, and more inside of an online profile built for audiologists. The Academy has provided all of the inroads for web traffic, with print ads in Audiology Today, a permanent button from their home page, numerous links, several banner ads, and outbound e-news options.
In-house advertising has evolved into organic search engine growth through terms like audiology suppliers, audiology products, and other industry-specific phrases. Additionally, the Academy’s recent AudiologyNOW! Conference, nurtured ongoing traffic that has monthly statistics surpassing 3,000 unique user sessions and over 12,000 searches – more than 100% growth over the previous year. User engagement is also growing, while the average session duration was more than 4 minutes! With ongoing marketing efforts, and a membership-base in need of a one-stop tool for audiologist-specific supplier search, the ASN is poised for even further growth in 2014.
