Helping Utilities Make Smart Solar Decisions

Solar Forecasting: Modeling, Verification and High Penetration PV

Thursday, August 18, 2011 2:00pm - 3:00pm EDT
Host: Solar Electric Power Association

You must register for this webinar on the SEPA site, click here.

Photovoltaic use is increasing and in some areas moving towards high grid penetration. As the use of this solar electric resource grows, so does the need to be able to predict output and variability to assist with utility planning and minimize negative impacts to the system. Please join us in learning more about the reasoning behind, and effectiveness of, solar modeling tools, and their success in predicting PV system output and variability.

Speakers: Jan Kleissl, Assistant Professor, University of California, San Diego and Tom Hoff, President, Clean Power Research
Time: 11am Pacific; 2pm Eastern. Estimated duration: 1 hour.
Cost: Free to SEPA Members, $199 for Non-Members
Target Audience: Utility renewable program managers, engineers, strategic planners, and project developers.
